This is the main entrance to the Cave. Jerry named it after his daughter. There are thousands of caves and cenote's here and people that find them often make there own little tour to make extra money. If any one wants to see this one send an E-mail to me and i will get you intouch with jerry but understand this is not a tourest destination just a nice place away from the rat race.

This is the sailfish the guys caught yesterday, they also caught 6 Dorado(Mahi Mahi) and a skip jack which is very different from the skip jack we catch on the Gulf Coast. We fed the marina last night and will do so tonight also. leaving lots of fish for the marina for later and taking some with us.

This is not in chronological order but here is a photo Debbie took of our leaving Portofino--Wow what a difference a few hundred nautical miles makes in the color of the water. Even in the marina here on Isla Mujeres we can see the bottom and it is 20 feet deep behind our boat. From our boat we can clearly see, angel fish, puffer fish, needle fish, sardines, blues chromis, blue damsels--it is a regular aquarium--only we don't have to change the water and clean the glass.

This was the catch of the day Thursday. Thomas the one on the right made a comment that he wished he had some wasabi because white marlin makes great sushi. I went to the boat and collected wasabi and soy sauce then discovered that not only marlin makes good sushi but sail fish does as well. After eating more than we should have they fired up the grill cooked up more fish many people brought a dish and the party Begin.

This is a view of the soggy Pecos from the beach it is a unique bar that cooks food everyday plays good American music and usually has a lot of Americans in it. Sunday
we went there and they were barbecuing ribs. We split there big plate and had a few beers then went to the boat for a siesta. Today we went back over there for hot wings it was a nice break from the pot luck dinners at the marina where sailfish and marlin has been on the menu almost every night.
David brought our new shaft to the dock Monday afternoon and installed it. now the boat is ready to go again. good thing we waited until we got here to replace the shaft the total cost for parts and labor was $400.00 that was including the $50.00 tip for a job well done.it would have cost at least 3 times that much in Kemah. Welcome to Mexico we love this place. There was a tense time while installing the shaft the young lad David had diving under the boat popped up on the ladder spread his hands as far apart as he could and said Barracuda under boat. soon the fish left and all turned out well.
